McGee Street Music

Will McGee street be the street to see live bands playing at the bars? From yesterday's Joyce Smith Cityscape column comes this:
The new Crosstown Station will offer live music from low-key happy hour musicians to national rock bands. The new venue at 1522 McGee St., across from the Sprint Center, is scheduled to open Nov. 9 and also will have a second-floor event space for 250 people.
With the Studio Restaurant and Bar, the Brick and now the Crosstown Station, McGee Street is certainly laying the smackdown on the Power and Light. Crosstown and Studio ought to be settling into their groove by the time Kansas City Live opens up in March. I wonder what kind of beer Crosstown is going to have on tap, I'm kind of giddy just thinking about it.
