Happy Repeal day!

Today isn’t a national holiday, but it should be. It is repeal day, but let’s not also forget that today is a day of remembrance for George H.W. Bush.

As most of my beer nerds out there know today is repeal day. It was on this very day in 1933 despite Kansas’ best efforts, prohibition was repealed! I am going to keep this short, but here are several articles for your reading pleasure. So head out to your local brewery and celebrate!

The official repeal day website is here.

An in-depth article from wikipedia on Repeal Day.

The Washington Examiner has a good article on some of the weird alcohol laws some states still have on the books.

Does anyone know of any KC establishments celebrating repeal day?

Cheers,
Brett A. Myces
