Torn Label Brewing 1 Year Anniversary Party

It is hard to believe that it has already been one year since Torn Label's beers started showing up around town. Last year around this time we gave you a sneak peak inside the Torn Label brewery and a look at the events planned for their launch week along with some of the plans in store for their inaugural year

To say that Kansas City was excited for Torn Label's debut would be a vast understatement as that article was viewed far more than almost any other article featured on KC Beer Blog in 2015.

Torn Label definitely did not disappoint.

Whether it was releasing their Belgian coffee dubbel, Cafe Dubbel, on a bitter cold February morning at Bier Station, tapping a firkin of their House Brew made with Thou Mayest coffee beans that were aged in Dark Horse Distillery rye whiskey barrels at Green Room Burgers & Beer or doing their own version of an advent calendar by releasing a different variant of their Old Believer imperial stout in their tap room each week, Torn Label set an impressive standard for themselves in 2015 and created a high benchmark for their future.

And while it is easy to look ahead to what is on the horizon for Torn Label in 2016, I think it is also important to reflect on and celebrate the accomplishments of everyone involved at Torn Label and the impact they had on Kansas City in just one year.

To celebrate their one year anniversary, Torn Label will be throwing an all-day party in their tap room this Saturday 1/9 starting at Noon. The tap list for the festivities is listed below and will feature Torn Label's fullest draft list they have ever had. In addition to having all 12 of their taps flowing at once, they will be putting on some rare beers that you will not want to miss including the debut of Barrel Aged Long Time Comin' imperial stout.

Alpha Pale
House Brew
Monk & Honey
Oscar
Hang ‘Em High
Day 4 Night
Ravager
Bloody Christmas
Long Time Comin’
Old Believer
BA Long Time Comin’
BA Quadquila

And in case you want to see where all this delicious beer has been brewed throughout the year, Torn Label will be giving public tours of their brewery for the first time since they opened their doors.

Cheers to Torn Label on a remarkable first year and to many, many more.
