Weston's Irish Fest is this Weekend

Weston, Missouri - The 9th annual Weston Irish Festival opens its gates Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, October 10th, 11th& 12th, at O'Malley's Pub & Courtyard in historic Weston, Mo. Great Irish music, piping and dancing, along with traditional Irish food and drinks, are what you'll find at the three-day event.

The festival features Irish musicians from across the U.S., Canada and Ireland. Seventeen local, regional, and national touring acts will perform on the open-air courtyard stage as well as the two indoor pub stages. A fourth stage, adjacent to the courtyard stage, will showcase the pipers and dancers. Headlining this year's festival are: The Young Dubliners from LA; high energy Rock with a Celtic edge, The Elders - Kansas City's favorite Irish rockers, The Clumsy Lovers from Canada; a high impact collision of Celtic and Bluegrass, Connie Dover - Weston's own Emmy Award nominated singer/composer, The Mickey Finns - the Saturday night house band at the legendary Paddy Reilly's Music Bar in New York City, and Brigid's Cross - a high-energy trio of fiddle, drums and step-dancing from Cleveland. Rounding out the lineup are several regional acts plus local favorites, Bob Reeder, Eddie Delahunt, Kelly, Tullamore, The Kelihans, and Flannigan's Right Hook.

The aroma of authentic Irish dishes - corned beef, Irish stew, coddle, and bangers, will fill the air along with traditional festival favorites. A full complement of draught ale, stout and lager will be available along with other libations. Featured beers are O'Malley's Cream Ale, Festival Brown Ale, and Dropkick Ale - all brewed by Weston Brewing Company.

Merchants of Irish wares will inhabit the courtyard for those who wish to take a wee bit of the Irish home with them.
