Night Stalker Hits Kansas

The Kansas side of the state line is getting hit by the Night Stalker today. This Night Stalker's not a strangler or something, just Goose Island's heavily hopped Imperial Stout. It's notoriously hard to find like any Night Stalker worth his salt. But, six Kansas stores are getting it today; Tipsy's, Rimann, Gomer's, Lukas and 2 others I haven't identified yet (please leave in comments where you found it). Night Stalker will probably be sold out around town sometime tonight so you'd better get moving if you want some.

  3. Went to Gomer's last night to get this. Their guy said KS didn't get any, so I told him about Rimann and Lukas and he got on the phone to the distributor. Pretty amazing that the distributor skipped over one of the better stores in KS. He said there were apparently 8 cases total.

Also found out each store got a case because you can't split anything smaller than 750ml bottles in KS, which I never knew.

  4. Snagged one at Rimann PV. They have a 1 bottle limit as well, but they had it stashed in the office. Gotta ask for it.

  5. For anyone that likes Night Stalker (and it is a tasty beer indeed), I also recommend Great Divide Yeti. Not the Oak Aged, or the Chocolate Oak Aged, or fill-in-the-blank aged, just Yeti. Very hoppy, and a quality Imperial overall. Available at fine bottle shops on both sides of the state line.
