Infinium is Upon Us

Sam Adams Infinium will be hitting Missouri store shelves today. Infinium claims to be an entirely new style of beer and the first new style created under the Reinheitsgebot, the German purity law. It looks more like  champagne than beer with a 10.3% ABV. It costs a cool $20 but comes with its own champagne type flute. This one's going to go fast. As always, let us know in comments where you found it and what you think of it. Your chances of getting it are better the sooner you're on the prowl. Ask for Lagunitas while you're looking.

  1. A vulgar (and not at all positive) review here:

  2. I'll pick one up if only for the geeky aspect (the mashed it at room temp in fermenters for weeks). I'm not expecting to love it but sometimes this weird stuff from Boston Brewing Company is awesome (eg the apparently retired Hallertau Imperial Pilsner).

  3. Outstanding. Even if it sucks, it makes a solid stocking stuffer that any KC beer drinker won't already have.

As for your comments about Lagunitas...you are so right it's wrong. WE NEED EVERY SINGLE BEER THESE WONDERFUL PEOPLE BREW!!!! I get all emotional when I drain a Hop Stoopid. The wife doesnt understand. But you do. And anyone else in KC who appreciates good beer should too!

  5. An update; It's hitting stores in KS today as well. Jack's Discount Liquor has 2 bottles unaccounted for, MDL Wine and Spirits has 6 and Tipsy's is getting theirs today.

Fairway Liquor remains the friendliest store in town as she offered to help find out who has some, but she does not and will not. I declined her offer because she carries every kind of Lagunitas that's available.

Scott, I'm not much of one for crusades. I've gotten a lot of feedback on my Lagunitas crusade and it's 100% positive. Lagunitas is the king of breweries.

  6. Wait a damn minute. I paid $23.99 and was awarded no "champagne type flute" at MDL.

  7. I may have been lied to by "The Early Show" about the champagne type flute. No wonder they fired everyone involved with the show. #IwatchTheEarlyShowEveryDay

  8. $16.99 at Gomers Midtown (my favorite low rent liquor store). I would have paid the extra $3 everyone else did if I could have got the flute...

  9. Got mine at Gomer's Midtown, too. No flute. Really the only disappointment, so things are good

  11. Gomer's south has only one case and about 5 bottles left as of today. Had to go pick me up a couple.
