Boulevard's New Brew
It won't come as a surprise to regular followers of the KC Beer Blog's comment sections, but Boulevard has announced they are adding a new year round beer to the lineup. Single Wide IPA will be available in package stores (liquor stores, I just like sounding like an easterner sometimes) in March, but is going to be on tap at select bars and restaurants in the KC metro and Lawrence until then. I'm going to hit up Harry's Country Club this weekend looking for it. I expect our readers to comment or email us any sightings of Single Wide IPA on tap.
Also announced was the long awaited arrival of the Bourbon Barrel Quad. It is expected to be on store shelves this week. I would expect it to be on all fine liquor store shelves by Tuesday the 16th. On a related note, there doesn't appear to be many bottles of the Saison-Brett still available. So you'll want to stock up on the Bourbon Barrel Quad. I think it will make a fine beer to drink after the kids go to bed on Christmas night, I know I'll need a drink by then. Again, let us know where you're seeing the BBQ and the prices (it should be between $11.50 and $14, I think it's going to be a little more expensive than the Saison-Brett).
Happy Holidays everyone.
UPDATE: Single Wide IPA can be found on tap at Firefly Lounge, Barley's Brewhaus, O'Dowds (I imagine all KC Hopps non-brewpubs) and Harry's Country Club. This is a non-exhaustive list, so keep your sightings of Single Wide coming.
UPDATE II: The BBQ is available in most MO liquor stores today, it won't be available in KS stores until tomorrow (12/12/08)
