Screenland Armour Firkin Fest

What are you doing this weekend? Drinking beer, great. Now let me recommend a place for you to do that - Screenland Armour. They're having a Firkin Fest presented in partnership with us and are giving readers of KC Beer Blog a special discount at the theatre.

If you've never been to Screenland Armour for the beer, you've missed out - they have 10 unique taps they rotate through and have roughly 100 bottles in their coolers. And if you're concerned about their beer chops then just consider that this past year they put on the Arts and Crafts Fest which had 65 unique beers, 15 local bands, 6 independent films, 15 local artists, and over 500 people were in attendance. They've also done events with New Belgium and Mother's throughout the year. Screenland Armour was also the first spot in town to feature taps from Big Rip and Cinder Block Brewing.

This weekend they'll be showing 3 different movies while tapping 6 different firkins from  Left Hand, New Belgium, Tallgrass, Emperyan, Summit, and Lagunitas. Cinder Block Brewing will also be there serving up sample of their beer. Even if you're not a movie person, there is no cover to come in, so you can still show up and hang out while having a couple pints. Their retro arcade machines are a good place to kill a little time too.
