Santa Fe Brewing Company in Kansas City

Another brewery is about to make its entrance into the Kansas City market, this time all the way from New Mexico. Santa Fe Brewing Company is the state's oldest microbrewery (founded in 1988), and starting Monday, November 12th, will be available in the Kansas City area (both Kansas and Missouri!) courtesy of Central States Beverage.

The initial offerings from Santa Fe Brewing Company will include Happy Camper IPA (in cans), Chicken Killer Barley Wine (22 ounce bottles) and Imperial Java Stout (also canned). I've never had the pleasure of trying any Santa Fe beers, but I've heard good things and they appear to be rated well online. Plus, I'm a sucker for a good coffee stout, so I'm pretty excited to give their beers a try.

To celebrate making their way into Kansas City, Santa Fe will be making their way around town the week of the 12th, holding a few kickoff events. Here's what you can look forward to:

Monday, November 12th

Martin City Brewing Company - 7pm - Release party with specials on Santa Fe Brewing Company beers and live entertainment.

Wednesday, November 14th

The Foundry - 6pm - Introduction of Santa Fe Brewing Company beers and schwag giveaways.

Thursday, November 15th

Barley's Brewhaus Overland Park - 6pm - Release party

If any more information becomes available regarding these events, I'll be sure to post. In the meantime, plan to make your way down to one of these release parties, meet the team from Santa Fe Brewing Company, and help show them how much Kansas City beer drinkers kick ass.
