Short Pours - 6/10/2013

JULIAN NBB Love #2 tapping

Tomorrow night, Celina Tio breaks out her second exclusive New Belgium collaboration beer, NBB Love #2. As was the case with her previous sour beer, this will likely disappear quickly. It will be tapped at 5:30pm, so plan to head to JULIAN after work to get a taste of this special blend. There will also be a pig roast going on, tickets for that can be purchased separately.

Lance's Brewery Tour to visit Boulevard

Lance Rice is an autistic beer historian who, now in his mid-fifties, is finally able to achieve his dream of taking a nationwide brewery tour and chronicling his story. Lance's trip will be turned into a documentary and book, and  his goal is to serve as a source of inspiration and help for others with autism. It was announced recently that Boulevard will be one of Lance's destinations. It's great to see our hometown brewery participating in such a great project. Lance's story is a very cool one that I can't do justice, so head over to his official site to read more about him and his journey.

  1. Any word on pricing for the Julian blend? It was $16 a snifter last year.

  3. Pitch Article said it was $8/tulip. No idea how many ounces that would be.

  4. It seemed to be around $1 an ounce with the first blend, $8 for a tulip that was about 8 oz. and I recall people saying that they were able to purchase pints for $16. I don't ever her remember charging $16 for a snifter though.

  5. Last year was $16 and it was in a New Belgium Globe, which is bigger than a snifter.
