Can I have some remedy?

Friday night a new craft beer bar celebrated its Grand Opening in Waldo (a little late I know, sorry bloggers have lives too).  Remedy Food + Drink has taken over the location formerly occupied by Kennedy's.  Unlike its Sports/Irish bar predecessor, Remedy considers itself a gastropub.  Whatever they want to call themselves, with 12 craft beers on tap and over 50 more available in bottles, Remedy is another bar worthy of KC beer drinkers' attention.  In addition to the beer, they are also offering handcrafted cocktails, boutique wines, and fresh made from scratch food.  All of this in a casual atmosphere with competitive Waldo prices.  Cheers to another craft beer bar in KC! 

I haven't had time to check it out yet, did anyone make it to the Grand Opening on Friday?  Any first impressions you'd like to share?

I'm a Kansas City native who found a passion for craft beer in college. After I graduated from MU, I moved to Denver and started selling beer at the retail level. Colorado is an excellent place to learn about the beer industry and that's exactly what I did, taking full advantage of all the nearby breweries and local beer festivals and soaking up all the beer knowledge I could. My wife and I returned to KC in March of 2011 to start a family. Since then I got my Certified Cicerone, went to work for a local beer distributor and started writing for the KC Beer Blog.
