B4TW - Southern Tier Creme Brulee Stout

I try to make the beer for the weekend a mix between new beers, seasonals and old favorites. Some new beers or seasonals that come around don't give me the gumption to write up a couple of paragraphs about them so I make them the beer for the weekend. That's exactly what this week's beer is, Southern Tier Creme Brulee Stout.

I had one of these a couple of years ago and I just never wrote anything about it. I remember really liking it and somehow recall that it reminded me of some sort of pie rather than creme brulee. But, I just didn't get around to writing anything. I've said for a while now that I don't usually like Southern Tier, it usually ends up being too sweet. But with the Creme Brulee Stout, the sweetness works, it's exactly what you're looking for when drinking a milk stout.

This one's going to be a little tough to get and only on the Missouri side. I know Royal on State Line had it behind the counter yesterday, so if you don't see it at your selected liquor store, ask for it. If you can't find it and still want a Southern Tier beer see if you can get an Oak Aged Unearthly as it's my favorite of the Southern Tier oeuvre.
